Vallourec specializes in manufacturing high-performance tubes for industrial uses. With energy transition issues at the heart of its activities, Vallourec called on Naldeo's teams to define its decarbonization strategy for 2035. Subsequently, Naldeo was involved in the operational implementation of this strategy, in the various countries where Vallourec is active, on four continents.
Vallourec was already committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and had implemented energy efficiency initiatives at all its sites. For the Group, the challenge was to deepen and accelerate this trajectory, using innovative, high impact decarbonization solutions.
Naldeo recommended innovative technologies applicable to Vallourec's production tools, in particular industrial furnaces, to achieve significant reductions in CO2 emissions. This technological lever was then complemented by actions at Group Purchasing level, buyer, and sales force training, and by the redefinition of compensation scheme for members of the Executive Committee, incorporating targets for reducing the Group's CO2 emissions.
A value recognized by Corinne Willecomme, the Group's Sustainable Development Director: "We particularly appreciated Naldeo's technological expertise and pragmatism, enabling us to accelerate the implementation of the new Climate Committee and define the Group's decarbonization roadmap, beyond 2025".
