The Communauté de communes Creuse Sud-Ouest (CCSO), located at the gateway to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, comprises 43 communes and has a population of less than 15,000. Wishing to promote renewable energies, CCSO called on the expertise of Naldeo Stratégies Publiques to draw up a strategy and operational program for the development of these energies. The aim was to provide elected representatives with a clear, practical decision-making tool, while guaranteeing controlled management of the benefits for local authorities.
Naldeo has proposed an inventory of the region's renewable energy potential, examining existing resources and potential uses, such as solar electricity, thermal biomass, hydroelectricity, and geothermal energy. This assessment will enable us to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints of renewable energy production, as well as to propose a concrete action plan to bring to fruition the sectors and projects chosen by local elected officials. As part of this process, Naldeo is involved in a territorial animation, encouraging collective exchanges with the elected representatives of the 43 communes to gather their needs and expectations, and to facilitate the identification of potential projects.
Based on the guidelines defined, a roadmap will be drawn up, together with a detailed action plan describing the implementation methodology and the support structures envisaged to get the projects off the ground. This mission, currently underway, illustrates CCSO's commitment to a sustainable and concerted energy transition, aimed at fully exploiting the potential of renewable energies to serve its territorial development.
